The Deep Pinball version 1.2 is updated with a Christmas theme that is really great and one that can help you keep the Christmas feel for just a little bit longer. But the added benefit of this Christmas update is that for a limited time this app is now free so hurry up and grab it before you have to pay the regular $.99 price.

The game starts off with a bit of advertisements but that is all you ever see of it and the rest of the game is spent playing it just like normal pinball game. You touch the bumpers to get them to move and you slide to launch each new ball.

The sounds are great and I think the graphics are really well done considering that it is just a pinball game. There are also plenty of different things to interact with and even missions to follow so it is really easy to rack up the points.

Personally I love pinball games there is plenty of lights and sounds to really make things fun and interesting and you can play through a game in a matter of minutes (if you aren’t that good at pinball anyway) and it’s something that you can easily pull out and instantly get into.

Now for those of you that don’t want Christmas year round you can go into the settings mode on your iphone and then scroll down until you see The Deep app. You can then switch off the Christmas theme and you are left with the basic and the classic underwater pinball game.

The movement and the gameplay is very fluid so you do not have to worry about anything but human error screwing up your game.

You can also shake the table simply by shaking your iphone and you can pause the game by pressing the top display.

There are a few interesting things to note in this game, the camera changes views to zoom in on the ball in certain points and then to zoom out and show the table. If you like you can turn off the live camera and move to a static camera.

There are also world and local scores to check and see how well you match up against everyone else.

If you want to know what everything is and how to get missions and meet checkpoints, simply let the main screen run for a few moments and a guide will pop up and explain everything to you.

If you like pinball I highly recommend this game and you really should grab it while it is still free!
